K-1 What story this picture tells

One  foggy night, a little boy named Jackie was walking along  the street.  It was dark. Jackie realized he was lost. So he looked up and down the street until he realized there was river following the street he was on. Jackie walked up to the post. Jackie stood a few feet away from the post and looked at the river. The river was rather calm tonight,so Jackie decided to watch the calm river.  Suddenly, a ship sailed onto the river. Jackie was intriqued. So he watched the ship until it stopped, and the river was calm again.

Jackie forgot that he was lost until a man with a lantern came up to him and said, "You lost, little boy?" Jackie was scared.  Jackie knew he couldn't talk to strangers, so he stayed quiet.  The man with the lantern put his arm around him.

"My name is  Claude." the man said "Are you lost?" Jackie nodded.

"See this?" Claude asked as he pointed to the ship. Jackie nodded.

"This my ship," he went on "This ship is a timeless classic. It is the best in all of the land." Jackie was interested.

"What's the lantern for?" he asked

"It's to guide me on my journeys." Claude replied  "It helps me to know where I'm going."

"Can I hold it?" Jackie asked. The man let Jackie hold the lantern.  Jackie knew the lantern was really amazing.

They spent the rest of the night watching the river together. Jackie knew two things. He knew that he could trust a stranger. Jackie aslo knew that the lantern meant something more than light.

J-4 The Big Bang Theory

I am going to write about one of my favorite TV show's The Big Bang Theory.  This show is about Sheldon and Leonard who are roommates.  Leonard and Shelodn work at the university where thye are physcisicts. They meet this girl Penny who has just moved into the apartment building.  Penny moved into the building because of a bad breakup with her boyfriend, Kurt.  The adventures continue with Sheldon's crazy habits. He has a strict routine that he follows such as what he eats for breakfast every day and what pajamas he wears on what day.  He has no interest of girls. Leonard, however, falls in love with Penny the second he meets her.   He eventually has enough courage to ask Penny out on a date.  The adventure continues with their friends, Howard and Raj.  Howard is very into women. He tries too hard with Penny. Howard also lives with his mother, who is a pain. Raj can't talk to women(except his mother and his sister, Pria) because he can only talk to women when he's drunk.  My favorite adventure with Howard and Raj is when they go to a goth club. They pick up two goth girls. And you know the rest. This show is extremely funny, and it will keep you laughing until the end credits.

J-3 Favorite music singers/groups

I know I have written about this particular topic over and over. But I am writing about it again anyway, just to keep the intrest of Mr. Currin.  One of my favorite singers is Katy Perry.  I like her song "Teenage Dream" because it has a good beat. This song makes me think of February and Valentine's Day in general. I also like her song  "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)." This song makes me happy fo the weekend. It also makes me realize that Friday night is the best night of any day of the week.  Another one of my favorite artists is Wiz Khalifa. I like his song "Black and Yellow" the best because it has a good beat.  I also like other songs by him such as "No Sleep" and "Young, Wild, and Free."  One of my favorite groups would have to be No Doubt.  I like thier song "Ex-Girlfriend." Funny story aboout that. I discovered it when my sister was competing in the Battle of the Bands.  She was deciding between two songs, and "Ex-Girlfriend" was one of those songs.  I admit, Glee is one of my favorite musical groups. Some of my favorite Glee songs include "I'll Stand by You", "Friday", "Dog Days are over", "River Deep, Mounatin High", "Lucky", "One Love (People get Ready)," and "Don't Stop Believing." Mr. Currin, I don't know if these keeps your intrest, but I wrote what you wanted to hear.   This is what you asked for, and this is what you got.

J-2 Over the weekend

I have already written about my favorite K-5 teacher, so I'm going to write a choice blog instead.   I am going to write about what I'm going to do this weekend.  On Friday, I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I hope I don't have to do my homework on Friday night. That will be bad.  On Saturday, I am going to help my mom in the library in the morning. My sister, her boyfriend Jeff, and her friend Nick are coming with us.  After that, we are going to do errands in town.  I am going to eat dinner with my family. Then my sister is going to get ready for Snowball.   I like watching her get ready for dances. My sister's dress is rather pretty this time. It's blue with flowers.   As for me? I'm not going to Snowball. I think Snowball is stupid. The music is rather lame, and everyone drools all over your dress. I get so sick of it that I just ignore people's compliments after a while. So what am I going to do? I'm going to hang out with my mom.  I know I'm lame, but I love hanging out with her.   We are going to watch Stand by Me (Again) or The Lost Boys.  On Sunday, I have religon at Jenna Wallace's house.  It will be nice to see everyone after Snowball, considering I didn't go.  We also eat and watch football in Mrs. Wallace's class, but ther's no football until next week, so we'll just talk and eat.    That is what I'm going to do this weekend.

J-1 What is a hero?

A hero is somone who does something courageous and he/she is always brave.  They also have qualities that are more extraordinary than the average person.  A hero also can help you in any situation.  A hero is also a role model. There are many more ways to describe a hero.  But these are the ways I describe my mother.  Since I was little, my mom always found ways to help me.  My mother is a great homework helper.  We used to sit at the kitchen table each night ,and we did my homework together.  My mom never lost her paitence when I strugged with math.  Now that I'm older, my mom and I tend to help each other. My mother  is brave by driving the entire seventeen hour drive to my grandparents house in South Carolina.  She is brave by drivng in any type of weather conditions including a snowstorm.  My mother has qualities that stand apart from everyone else.  My mother is extremly helpful.  She is also a good cook.  She has a good taste in clothes and shoes. We also like to do things together such as shop, eat  junk food, and watch movies.  My mom is a role model because she sets a good example for me and my sister.  My mother will be a good role maodel in the future. These are the ways I describe my mother a s a hero.

I-4 Choice

For this choice blog, I am going to write about what I did on Sunday.  I woke up at 8:30 that morning because I had to go to church.  I hate getting up for church because it's like geting ready for school.  Getting ready for both of these things is like a relay race.  It snowed that morning so getting to chruch was a pain.  I spent the whole ride watching the snow fall.  We finally got to church. I barely paid any attenion in church because I was concentrating on the falling snow. Church ended and it was still snowing.   After the sevice, my mom, my sister, and I took a ride out to Kohl's. I bought a cardigan sweater and a floral cami.  The trip was fun. We met my dad at home for lunch.  We ate whatever was in the refridgerator.  After lunch, Mom, Em, and I were going to watch a show on the internet, but the show wouldn't play. Mom got so frustrated that she swore a lot.  I left the room before another bad word could fly out of her mouth.  I joined my father in the living room, who was watching the Giants-Falcons game on TV.  I stayed with my father and the football game while my mom continued to have a fit. The Giants game was exciting. The Giants won 24-2. (Atlanta only got two points because of a safety.) My mom calmed down by dinner and it was rather peaceful. I had religon at Jenna Wallace's  house that night.  The Steelers-Broncos game was on TV becuase the Wallaces are Steelers fans.   My friends, Mrs. Wallace, and I talked, ate, and watched the Steelers lose in overtime. (The final score was Broncos 29, Steelers 23.) Jenna and her mom were not too happy. Neither was Austin Fox,who hates Tim Teebow.  When I left religon, Sunday was pretty much over.  That is how I spent my Sunday.

I-3 Here Come the Grandparents

The highlight of my Christmas break was when my grandparents came to stay at my house for two days.  My grandparents came to my house the day after Christmas. I was not happy about this arrangement because I had to give up my bedroom.  My sister and I wereforced to sleep in her tiny room.  She only has one twin bed, and one of us has to sleep on the floor. It was me, of course.  (No pointing fingers).  Back to the original story. My grnadparents ate TV dinners on the first night on thier stay. This was because nobody bothered to make dinner.  We watched a Christmas special on TV.  When it was recorded, there was a severe weather warning on the bottom of the screen. So the weather warning was a permanet part of the recording. At 8:00, I headed to the sleeping bag.  Sleeping on the floor was unbearable.  I was up for half of the night. The next morning, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  My grandmother greeted me with an overwhelming cheer.  The day did not improve, though. We played games all day, and we watched Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O'Hara. I was so glad to go to bed. I got Em's bed that night. That is not exactly the best thing to sleep in, either.  It was lumpy, and it creacked every time you moved.  That was annoying.  I was glad when my grandparents left. But if I ever write a play called Here Come the Grandparents, this would be the story.

I-2 Bucket List

There are many meanings to a bucket list. To me, a bucket list is a list of things I want to do before I die.
1) Go to Disney world and watch Peter Pan.   I want to watch this movie in Disney World's  3D theater and have glow-in the dark stars on the celing. I have never watched a movie in 3D, and Peter Pan would be a cool movie to watch in 3D.

2) Go to Australia and Italy. I am Italian on my father's side, so I would like to see where my ancestors came from.  I would also like to try  Italian food firsthand.  I am a big fan of pasta. That will be a thrill. I want to go to Australia because I have heard a lot about it. My cousin's sister also studied there for a semester.  Another thing I want to do while I'm Australia is meet some kangaroos. I have met kangaroos before, but I only met them at the zoo.  I would also like to have an Australian accent.

3) Shoot Russell Brand.  Russell Brand is the weirdest actor of all time.   He has the weirdest voice, and his English accent creeps me out.  Mr. Brand also hasn't shaved in two years. One last flaw I have about him is his hair. Does Mr. Brand even cut his hair? That depends on if you like hairy English men. I do not,so this is a flaw.

This is my bucket list.

I-1 New Year's Resolution

Every year, my family and I make New Year's Resolutions.  We are crazy for doing that, I know. That is because no one in my family ever sticks to thier resolutions. (This is especially true of my mother who NEVER sticks to her resolution.)   Some years, I don't have a resolution. I just say "Ditto."   This year, I have a resolution. My resolution is to be more aware of what is going on around me.  Go ahead and say it, but I can be a pretty stupid person.  Half of the time, I don't know what is going on around me.  I also get really distracted. Like today. I was looking at a picture of one of the cutest actors when my teacher tapped me on the shoulder. " Sorry. I get so distracted." I said. He laughed, and said "That's okay. I get distracted too."  I laughed. That is something I need to work on this year.  I also tend to stare out the window in some of my classes. I also need to stop staring out the window during class. I know it's crazy, but this is part of being aware of the things around me.  This also includes  knowing when somone doesn't want to be around me.  I need to be aware of when an insult is being thrown at me.  This will help me to be more aware.  Sticking to my resolution will be a challenge, but I will try very hard to stick to it.
